Offline update (via USB Cable)

Cable update usually for full release version or flash firmware for those IX device failure to update via SD card or online update.

USB cable update requires

For advance update you will need, an USB debug converter, PC (Windows version) or laptop with USB tool version firmware (Auto-Writer)

Upgrade Door Panel IX850

Wire as below: (DO NOT CONNECT PC FIRST)

a.      Unzip “IX850_AutoWriter.rar” and run “AutoWriter.exe” (No matter Encrypted or Standard version all using same file in this step)

b.       when you see below window, “Plug USB and power-on to start programming” and now connect the USB wire to your PC (Don’t need to power up the unit.). After the USB connected, wait for seconds the device will automatically write:

c.       With below massage the write is finish.

d.       Power on and reset the door station to factory default as below:
When door station IX850 in “Installer Mode”, tap in the middle of blue bar -> “settings” -> “Restore and backup” -> “Restore factory settings”.

Upgrade Door Panel IX610


Wire as below: (DO NOT CONNECT PC FIRST)

a.       Unzip “IX610XXXX.zip” and run “AutoWriter.exe” (No matter Encrypted or Standard version all using same file in this step)

b.       when you see below window, “Plug USB and power-on to start programming” and now connect the USB wire to your PC (Don’t need to power up the unit.). After the USB connected, wait for seconds the device will automatically write:

c.       With below massage the write is finish.

d.       Power on and reset the door station to factory default as below:
Short EB+ and EB-, and long press 5s to setup factory default

 

 

Upgrade Door Panel IX821

Wire as below: (DO NOT CONNECT PC FIRST)

Steps: Loose 4 screws by a cross-head screwdriver , then use a slot-type screwdriver to pull 2 buckles on left and right. Then connect the USB tool (Get this USB tool from V-Tek) as below.

 

a. Unzip “IX821XXXX.zip” (MUST UNZIP) and run “AutoWriter.exe” (No matter Encrypted or Standard version all using same file in this step)

b. when you see below window, “Plug USB and power-on to start programming” and now connect the USB wire to your PC (Don’t need to power up the unit.). After the USB connected, wait for seconds the device will automatically write:

c. With below massage the write is finish.

 

d. Power on and reset the door station to factory default as below:

At the same time, short-circuit BOTH PORTS’ EB+ and EB- for 10 seconds, then IX821 will be set to factory default
