Enable an external IP camera when receiving calls
After added IP camera for IX device, IX could check or quick swap between IP camera and door station, also could add a camera streaming for Guard unit calling.
Video proxy in calling from a door station
Below procedures are after adding IP cameras for a door station.
Before setup video proxy
Manually select and switch from IP camera during calling. In calling, tap “IPC list” icon, select IP camera form list, then check.
After setup video proxy
Instead of select an IP camera in a list, the icon could swap from specified a camera and door station directly.
How to setup
On a monitor connected in the system, fetch an IP camera list as below:
On monitor, tap “Setting” -> “Ext.Unt” -> “IP Camera”
Refer IP Camera for more information.On this monitor, search and find the door station need to setup by “onsite tool”
On this monitor tap “Settings” -> “Onsite tool” -> “🔍”, search and local door station.
Refer Onsite tool for more information.In remote configure of the door station, tap “Parameter” -> “Others” -> 3rd page “Video Proxy”
In the “Video Proxy” menu, check setting below:
“Call video select”: priority streaming, whether from a door station camera, or IP camera. Example: settings “IPC” as call video, while the door station calling, the image will be IP camera at first. By default, is door station.
“IPC agent” select an IP camera which will be video proxy for the door station.
“IX agent” select a door station camera which will be door station camera streaming for the door station. (require input 10digits Device_Addr here) Example: settings DS1’s video proxy settings, if input here “IX agent” = DS3 (0099 0000 01), while calling from DS1, the camera view will from DS3.
Normally we just need to setup “IPC agent”.
Make a test
Make a call form the door station just setup, to see if video proxy is working.

Below procedures are after adding IP cameras for a door station.
Before setup video proxy
Guard unit IX471(GL) doesn’t have camera, while it calling to monitor, it will have a static image showing on the target monitor as below:
After setup video proxy
Instead of a static image, streaming an IP cameras video while calling.
How to setup
Step up on Guard unit.
On a monitor connected in the system, fetch an IP camera list as below:
On monitor, tap “⚙” -> “Ext.Unt” -> “IP Camera”
Refer Guard Unit, IP camera for more information.While in standby menu, tap “⚙” (settings icon) -> “Installer” -> “Parameter” -> “Others” -> 3rd page “video proxy”
Specially, setting must be “Call video select”: IPC, and select an IP camera by tap “IPC agent”
