A demo for how to setup a VS system

This manual will show how to install below project for one family

2 x Door station IX610

2 x Monitor IX471S

Some IP Cameras

All monitors/door stations in default setting or brand new from box.

Using DHCP & Auto-IP

Planning project

Plan network

Planning all network related issues.

PoE switch selection

In this demo, there are at least 5 networks devices (Include IP camera), here we use an 8 port PoE switch in this demo.

Cabling

Wiring all cables, here we use Cat5 cable.(monitor in wireless connection is possible too)

IP strategy selection and setup

Planning your IP strategy, here we use DHCP or Auto-IP in this demo.

IP camera settings

According to IP strategy, we will need to configure all IP cameras as requires

Plan Call_Nbr

Planning Call_Nbr, this relate to how you configure devices.

Call_Nbr selection

In this demo, we only need to call with buttons.

Configure Project

Power on all devices

Before configure device, we will need to installed and power on all device.

Configure IP settings

In this demo, we are using DHCP/AUTO, which is default settings, skip.

Configure Call_Nbr

There are 2 monitors, on one of the monitors which will be master:

  1. Setup “Name” in “Call_Nbr” setting menu.

  2. Run “Auto setup wizard”, tap “Settings” -> “ExternalUnit” -> “AutoSetupWizard

Test with Project

Basic intercom function

Test with calling, monitoring, unlock doors.

Divert to APP

Test with APP to see if it works.(Do SIP config setting after internet connection is setup)

Maintain after installed

Add more device

In this demo, after new devices add, run “Auto setup wizard” once again to apply new devices.

Remove device

Simply uninstall device, noting needs to do with remove a device.

Replace device

In this demo, after replace device, run “Auto setup wizard”
