Network 1: LAN (Wired)

This is the simplest wiring.

All the CAT 5 cables are laid properly, just plug and play (the IP devices should be pre-programmed according to the requirements of a project).

Common Internet: If want APP function, just connect the POE to the Router with Internet , then all users could active APP function .

 Example of wiring

Network 2: Hybrid LAN & WLAN (Dedicated WiFi)

Features:

  1. Outside the apartments, all devices are wired by CAT5 cables.

  2. Specially inside the apartments, different residents could choose to wire the monitors or just wireless. Even choose wire for some rooms, and the rest use wirless. Comparison as below.

Wire VS Wireless (LAN VS WLAN)
  1. Family 1: Connect the monitors to the whole IP system by wire
There are 3 ways for residents to enjoy APP function
    (1) At home using Wi-Fi to link monitors with Private Internet/Router only. When there is a call from door station, monitor will divert the call to app.
    (2) The outside PoE switch are connected to Common Internet/Router. When there is a call from door station, door station will divert the call to app.
    (3) Both Private Internet and Common Internet are connected. When there is a call from door station, at first monitor will divert the call to app, if it fails then door station will take over and divert the call.

  2. Family 2: Connect the monitors to the whole IP system by wireless
To enjoy APP function, it is the only way that, the outside PoE switch should be connected to Common Internet/Router.

Example of wiring

 VS Type - Villa system

DHCP Router assigns IP address for all devices connected.

SS Type - Standalone apartment system

If there are long distances between rooms/floors, should extend the Wi-Fi range, see details via this link:

Network 3: LAN, with User WIFI

All devices are connected to POE switch.
If users want to use APP, could connect the monitor to their own WiFi.
