New 821 Series Label Customization & Printing Guide
This document is intended for sample testing purposes. It helps you quickly explore nameplate customization capabilities.
We recommend the following two printing methods for your sample testing. Both can be completed with a standard black-and-white laser printer.
Regular print
Ideal for quick, standard nameplate printing on modules.
Device you need: Standard A4 laser printer (black-and-white)
Material you need: A4 printable film paper (included in your sample package)
Step 1: Download Templates

Step 2: Edit Content
We recommend opening and editing the PDF file via the Microsoft Edge browser. If using another PDF viewer/editor, please ensure the shadow areas in the template are set to not print.
L1x5: Type the names you need below, the shadow area for the names, and empty areas for the button.
L2x5: Type the names you need below, the shadow area for the names, and empty areas for the button. The upper part is for the right button, which is aligned right, and the bottom is aligned to the left. You could use < or > to identify the button position at the front or end of names.
More requests for the double row layout check with the sales team, currently for a sample test.
Step 3: Check Print Preview and Print
Before printing, check the print preview. The shadow areas shall not be visible in the preview window.
Ensure that the print "Scale" is set to "Actual Size" (or 100%).
Step 4: Cut & Install
Cut along the dashed lines to remove the nameplate, then place it into the nameplate holder behind the PMMA cover.
Regular print + Color transparency
By using a colored film, you can create a premium dual-layer effect without a color laser printer.
Device you need: Standard A4 laser printer (Black-and-white)
Material you need: A4 printable film paper, or A4 printable film paper with printed color (included in your sample package)
Please review the two options below before printing:
Direclty repint the names on the color printable film
Same as regular print, but in step 3, instead of using the regular empty printable film, feed the color film into the printer.
Overlay transparency on the color printable film
Same as regular print, but overlay the transparency on top of the color film. Then cut them off together to ensure they align perfectly.
Cutting Tip
If you don't have a guillotine paper cutter, cutting two layers of film together can be difficult. As an alternative, you can print an empty template PDF (only dashed lines) onto the color film, cut the transparent layer and color layer separately, and then assemble the nameplate in the holder.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use a standard inkjet printer to print the labels or backlit films?
A: Not recommended.
The labels and backlit films are made from synthetic materials (PET/PP) optimized for laser toner. Inkjet ink does not adhere well to these surfaces and is prone to smearing and bleeding. A Laser Printer is strongly advised for clean, durable results.
Q: Why do my printed labels not fit into the module slots?
A: This is almost always caused by incorrect printer settings.
Please ensure your printer dialog is set to "Actual Size" or "Scale: 100%".
Q: What should I do if I need to make a temporary nameplate immediately on-site?
A: Every 821 Series module comes with a pre-installed PET UV-resistant blank label.
You can temporarily write on this label using a waterproof permanent marker until a printed version is ready.
Q: My printer cannot detect the backlit film. What should I do?
A: Temporarily attach a plain white A4 sheet to the back of the film.
This allows the printer's paper sensor to detect it normally and feed it through without issues.
Q: Can I order the backlit film separately? What are the pricing and packaging details?
A: Yes. The backlit film is available for separate purchase.
The current standard color is clear (transparent). The background color in the sample is for reference only and may vary based on market needs.
