Preparation

  • New Monitor: IX471S*1pcs, firmware version:

  • Updated DS: IX850*1pcs , firmware version:

  • IP camera: 1~3pcs, standard, onvif, details see below

  • PoE Switch: 1~2pcs, standard

  • Mobile phone: with VDP connect application, version:

  • Network: two different network, one for common, one for private Simulation test

Demo test for different scenario

In order to simplify the description, the test scenarios in this document are based on the IP policy of DHCP & AUTO.

Scenario 1 : Wired Lan connection & common network

This scenario and function are the same as the old version.

The door station IX850 initiates the transfer call, and the monitor IX471S does not need any additional settings except for the basic settings such as Call_Nbr.

for the differences are as follow :

IPS TFT

The screen resolution is better than before, especially when the image is displayed on a HD camera.

Thanks to the IPS screen, the viewing angle is better than the old model.

IP camera

in this scenario,

  • connect mode : Settings→Installer→IP Address→IX Net Mode: set to LAN

  • divert mode : Manager→SIP config→SIP Network setting: set to LAN

  • Settings→Ext.Unit→IPC cameraAdd by search//or by manual chose input “user name” and “ password” save

Added the functions of monitoring QUAD and incoming call PIP -IP camera setting

Scenario 2 : Wired Lan connection & private network

In this scenario, users can use their own WiFi .

To success act, must make sure below settings in correct :

1. in monitor:

  • connect mode : Settings→Installer→IP Address→IX Net Mode: set to LAN

  • connect the Wi-Fi : Settings→Installer→IP Address→Wlan Setting→set the Wi-Fi Switch to ON

    then connect the Wi-Fi by manual or search.

  • divert mode : Manager→SIP config→SIP Network setting: set to WLAN

2. connect IP camera

Add by search or Add by manual

  • Settings→Ext.Unit→WLAN IPC cameraAdd by search//or by manual chose input “user name” and “ password” save

3. test

Scenario 3 : Hybrid Lan & Wlan connection+common network

In this scenario, use common internet and wireless connect monitor to bus

To success act, must make sure below settings in correct :

1. in monitor:

  • connect mode: Settings→Installer→IP Address→IX Net Mode: set to WLAN

  • connect the Wi-Fi : Settings→Installer→IP Address→Wlan Setting→set the Wi-Fi Switch to ON

    then connect the Wi-Fi by manual or search. ( noted, not the WiFi of home/private but the common)

  • divert mode : Manager→SIP config→SIP Network setting: set to WLAN

2. connect IP camera

  • Add by search or Add by manual

  • Settings→Ext.Unit→IPC cameraAdd by search//or by manual chose input “user name” and “ password” save ( for room2 )

  • Settings→Ext.Unit→WLAN IPC cameraAdd by search//or by manual chose input “user name” and “ password” save ( for room1 )

3. Test

Scenario 4 : Hybrid Lan & Wlan connection+private network

In this scenario, use private network and wireless connect monitor to bus

To success act, must make sure below settings in correct :

1. in monitor:

  • connect mode: Settings→Installer→IP Address→IX Net Mode: set to WLAN

  • connect the Wi-Fi : Settings→Installer→IP Address→Wlan Setting→set the Wi-Fi Switch to ON

    then connect the Wi-Fi by manual or search. ( noted, not the WiFi of home/private but the common)

  • divert mode : Manager→SIP config→SIP Network setting: set to LAN

2. connect IP camera

  • Add by search or Add by manual

  • Settings→Ext.Unit→IPC cameraAdd by search//or by manual chose input “user name” and “ password” save
