What is the Quad view?

If there are some cameras connected in the system, DX2 allows you to view four images at the same time from different video sources in monitor mode (one door station plus three CCTV images)

How to use Quad view

  1. Monitoring by Quad menu

main menu → Monitor → Quad

 

  1. Monitoring by “MONITOR” button

The “MONITOR” button is a shortcut to enter to “Monitor” menu in standby.

we can set it to Quad function via “shortcut”.

How it works and set

1. Display via the connect order

In the first time, without any setting work, touch the main menu → Monitor → Quad

Four split screens will be displayed.

If the number is exactly four, all of them will be displayed.

If less than four, the insufficient part will be displayed as none.

but the DS1 Image is always the last one, and the first image is the IP camera image which was added first.

2. Display via setting rules

Users can re-set it and choose four video resources as default.

in Quad, touch the re-set icon and the screen will clear. Then the user can click and add the surveillance video sources he wants one by one.

after adding, it will be saved and shown in the next touch.

3 . Display switch with a simple touch

In the quadrant screen, click any small image to switch to the large image, and click the symbol (blue star) to return

4. Four-screen simultaneous recording

In the quadrant screen, click the record symbol at the right corner of the screen, and all four images will be recorded.

if without an SD card, it will record a 3s video; if with an SD card, it will record a 10s video.

This is also different from the previous version, which took pictures without an SD card.

all the recorded videos are separate into different resources.
